At Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest, there was free food for emergency responders.

Tuesday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., employees at the restaurant took time out to thank the firefighters and police officers who helped fight that big wildfire in Horry County.

Firefighters, EMS, and police officers from Horry County and Conway were on hand for the show of appreciation.

Organizers say the fire hit very close to home for them. Manager Joey Ebben, said "We have a few employees who were evacuated from the fire and how professional it was done was just phenomenal of how these guys did their jobs and there's nothing we can express more than giving them the appreciation that they all deserve, we love them all and we wish them the best and we thank them everyday for putting their lives on the line for us."

Ebben added the restaurant paid for all the food and beverages and their families were also welcome. Ebben says they cooked about 1,000 pounds of wings.
