The SC Highway Patrol continues to investigate a deadly crash in Georgetown County.
According to L/Cpl Sonny Collins with the SC Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday night near the intersection of US 17 and Hwy 521.
Collins said a log truck was struck in the rear by a van.
The driver of the van was killed. The truck driver was not injured.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson identified the driver as 32 year-old William Henry Vanvalke II.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
