CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Delaware bankruptcy judge says the sale of Hard Rock Park in South Carolina doesn't include the creative content its former owner invested.
The $400 million, 55-acre theme park in Myrtle Beach was open for less than a year before going bankrupt.
Judge Kevin Carey approved its $25 million sale last month to FPI MB Entertainment, which wants to reopen the park this spring.
A corporation set up by the former owner wants a $500,000 annual licensing fee and royalties for the creativity it invested.
FPI MB Entertainment wanted the judge to approve the sale with no additional fees, but Carey denied that motion on Monday.
The park featured music-theme attractions, such as an Eagles "Life in the Fast Lane" roller coaster.
