Investigators continue to look for answers as how a weekend house fire in Lumberton claimed the lives of two people.

According to Maj. Tommy Barnes with the Lumberton Police Department, the fire happened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 1207 East 11th Street.

Investigators found 74 year-old Barbara Belt and 24 year-old Amanda Daniels dead inside the home.

Barnes said three others, one adult and two toddlers were also inside the home and were later transported to the Burn Center at UNC-Chapel Hill for their injuries.

There's no word on the cause of the fire.

Barnes said the A.T.F. and State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) are assisting in the case.
