A Coastal Carolina University employee died Thursday from injuries received in a tree-cutting accident on campus.
The incident happened around 2 p.m.
According to a press release, the name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
“The university community is deeply saddened by this loss of a precious life, ” said David A. DeCenzo, university president. “We send our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of our employee.”
