Williamsburg Technical College President Dr. Cleve H. Cox recently received a scholarship donation from Joan Thompson of Kingstree.
Thompson has been a member of the college’s area commission board for 19 years and serves as vice chairwoman. She is head of school at Williamsburg Academy and has worked in K-12 education for more than 30 years.
Thompson’s gift to the college foundation’s Campaign for Educational Enrichment will be used to provide scholarship assistance to a qualifying student as determined by the college’s scholarship committee.
