Tiger Productions tackles Top 40

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The theme for this year’s Tiger Production’s annual Dinner and a Show will be Top 40 and the program will feature about 20 alumni of Tiger Production, said Linda Gilliard-Johnson, director of Tiger Production.

The group has practiced since January to provide an evening of great music from past decades, Gilliard-Johnson said.

Gilliard-Johnson said she hopes people will be delighted to see the Tiger Production reunion and show the students have been working on.

Some musical selections to be performed include “Duke of Earl,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “I Love the Nightlife,” and “Rhythm of the Night,” as well as Motown hits from the ’60s.

Tiger Production is made up of the school’s honor and show choirs. Twenty-four students in grades nine through 12 participate in the group.

To participate in Tiger Production, students must audition for the group.

The choir performs a variety of music, including spirituals, ballads, classical, gospel, popular, and rhythm and blues.

The Dinner and a Show is one of several performances for the group throughout the year.

Tickets for the Top 40 Dinner and Show can be purchased from the school or members of Tiger Production.
