A course to prepare students for a career in private investigation will be offered at Northeastern Technical College beginning Tuesday, March 24.
The course will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
The course will broadcast from Northeastern Tech’s Dillon campus to campuses in Pageland, Cheraw and Bennettsville. Students can attend class at the campuses that are most convenient to them.
Elmore Bethea, who has been a licensed private investigator for 15 years, will teach the course.
The course will teach students investigative techniques, proper procedures for preparing reports, proper courtroom presentation, communication skills, how to market private investigator services and how to obtain information using the Internet.
Students also learn to use the latest technology and equipment used by investigators in the field.
