As soon as Gail Jenkins heard about the openings at Hard Rock Park, she says she hurried to the Conway Workforce Center to apply.
"I moved down here from Statesville, NC in August '08, and had one job, and that assignment was over through man power, and just can't seem to get a job," Jenkins said.
Park officials say they anticipate filling 750 to 1000 positions; however that number could go up as time goes on.
Officials also say interviews should start in about 3 weeks.
The people who are now able to apply are only able to do so on Careerbuilder.com.
And for workforce center employees, like Sheila Daniels, they've been constantly referring people to the open positions.
"Hopefully, it's going to put a lot of people coming through back to work. We've referred them to Careerbuilder, and also when they were sending resumes to Hard Rock, we had them send their resumes over there, so hopefully they will put a lot of our people back to work," Daniels said.
As for Jenkins, while she's also looking for other work, Hard Rock would certainly be a thrill.
"Maybe I'll get something, hopefully. If they offer it, I'll take it," Jenkins said.
