Local environmental activist Peggy Brown will present the film “Fighting Goliath: Texas Coal Wars” to the Pee Dee Group-Sierra Club on Thursday.
Narrated by Robert Redford and produced by The Redford Center, the film is used to get people involved in stopping the rush to build conventional coal-fired power plants.
The program begins at 7 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1201 Cherokee Road, Florence.
