Getting another chance to rock again is something brother and sister, Jordan and Padan Starnes didn’t think was going to happen.
Now, their excitement level to have their old jobs back are through the roof.
"I'm really stoked. Since the closing of Hard Rock in September, I've been keeping track on who's going to buy the park, and was kind of disappointed when they didn't get any bids, and now very excited that FPI Entermainment actually bought Hard Rock," Jordan Starnes said.
Jordan’s hoping to get his old job back as the Games Staffing Supervisor, while Padan is looking to be an entertainer once again.
"I'm ecstatic. But I don't know if I have to re-audition or anything. To me it was the best job I ever had, and have made tons of friends that I know I'm going to have forever,” Padan Starnes said.
One of the new investors from Myrtle Beach, Tim Duncan, told News13 that he feels it’s only right that those who previously worked at the park get their old jobs back.
And that they’re going to focus on keeping all the hiring done with local area residents.
Starting Monday, March 2nd at 9 a.m., former employees of the park will be able to line up at the Park Recruitment Center (on George Bishop Parkway across from Coaster’s Café and Big D’s BBQ Pit). Or they can apply on-line at CareerBuilder.com and type in the keyword, “FPI Myrtle Beach”.
They will accept applications until 5 p.m. Monday and through the coming weeks.
For those who are not former employees, they will have to wait another two weeks or so to apply for a position, according to a spokesperson with the park.
Jordan says he and many other former co-workers he talked to will show up sometime around 9 and 10 Monday morning.
"The whole staff of Hard Rock Park was one big family, and that's what I liked most of all. Everyone knew everyone, no one was negative towards anyone."
