On June 17, 2009, Detectives with the Horry County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section initiated an investigation after an Armed Robbery occurred at Martin’s Place in the Aynor section of Horry County.
In the incident, one victim, Craig Martin, was bound with a nylon cord, and then stabbed multiple times, including the left eye. The victim was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in an attempt to save his eye.
As a result of the investigation, three people have been identified in connection with the incident.
Police say the female suspect revealed the opening procedures of the store she obtained while delivering newspapers there on a daily basis.
She then dropped them off at the incident location while making her deliveries, and picked them up shortly after the incident, according to police.
Police arrested Kimberly O'Neil, 40, from Conway late Tuesday.
A 14-year-old from Conway was also arrested and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
He and O'Neil were both charged with assault and battery with the intent to kill and kidnapping on Wednesday.
Antonio Gilbert, 32, of Bennettsville. currently has active warrants on him, and is considered armed and dangerous.
