A traffic collision in Darlington County claimed the life of a 48-year-old Hartsville man Sunday night.
Darrell Howard was pronounced dead at an area hospital, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said.
The crash happened at 7:40 p.m. Sunday on Society Avenue in Hartsville, highway patrol reports show.
The driver was headed north on the road when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road and into a ditch. The car then rolled several times and struck a utility pole, throwing the driver from the vehicle.
