The swimming advisories issued on June 17th and 18th for a section of beach in both Horry County and Surfside Beach have ended, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control announced today.

“Test results from samples were within acceptable limits,” said Sean Torrens of DHEC’s Region 6 Environmental Quality Control office.

“We’ll continue to sample ocean water at least once a week until the middle of October.”

For more information about beach water quality call DHEC’s Region 6 Environmental Quality Control office at (843) 238-4378.
