One person is dead after an early morning crash in Dillon County.
According to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 1:55 a.m.
Saturday around the 184 mile marker on Interstate 95.
Deputy coroner Randy Grimsely identifies the victim as William David Hope Jr., 27, of Tennessee.
Collins said a Chevrolet Astro van and Suzuki motorcycle were both traveling North on I-95 when the motorcycle hit the rear of the van and Hope was killed. The driver of the van was not injured.
Collins said Hope was not wearing a helmet. No charges will be filed, but the crash is still under investigation.
