The Youth of the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church in Florence are sponsoring a lunch break food drive to benefit Harvest Hope Food Bank.
From Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 15-26, the youth of the church are inviting the members of the community to stop by the church parking lot during their lunch break to donate food for the food bank.
Among the items the food bank needs most are canned meat and fish; peanut butter (in plastic jars); canned vegetables and fruits; breakfast cereal; personal care items (soap, shampoo, etc.); nutritionally dense foods; and frozen turkeys for holiday boxes
