A Hartsville man is charged in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday near Hartsville.
Tyrone Montgomery, 26, of 207 Serenity Circle is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and commiting a lewd act upon a minor, Darlington County Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Locklair said.
The suspect’s relationship to the victim is being withheld to protect the victim’s identity.

Montgomery remains in custody at the Darlington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
