PAMPLICO - New Prospect Christian School congratulates seniors Rachal King and Kayla Hankins, valedictorian and salutatorian of the class of 2009.
Rachal has spent all her school years at NPCS. She has been a part of the basketball, volleyball, and softball teams, as well as a cheerleader and a member of the yearbook staff. During her senior year, she added tutoring to her list of things to do and plans to attend Francis Marion University and major in Elementary Education.
Rachal is also a member of New Prospect FWB Church. "I'm thankful that God has allowed me to go to a Christian school, where I could grow up and get a good education in a Christian environment," Rachal said.
"I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for my classmates and I as we start the next chapter in our lives," King said. "I wish my classmates the best of luck in all they do. New Prospect has made an important impact on our lives and as we celebrate this big achievement in our lives, we know that even bigger ones await - ones that we may achieve through God's help."
Kayla has been at the school since 2002. She has been part of the JV and varsity cheerleading squads and was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams over her years at NP. She was also a member of the yearbook staff, during her senior year.
"I am so blessed that God gave me the opportunity to have a Christian education," Kayla said. " I know that my Christian values will help me to go far in life. I am thankful to New Prospect for helping us to build on a Christian foundation, so that we can grow to be kind hearted and loving individuals. My hope for the class of 2009 is that they will always follow God's will for their life."
Hankins plans to continue her education at Francis Marion University and has chosen political science as her major.
