Marion School District 1 will have its monthly board meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 8.
Items on the agenda include to the winners of the Marion Soil and Water Conservation District Essay contest: First Place, Ashleigh Evans; Second place, Meagan Dunham; third place (tie), Jeffery Hannah, and Heather Venice; and Honorable Mention, Morgan Honaker, and Antonio Narcisco.
Also on the agenda is recognition of the 2008-09 Wendy’s Heisman Award winners Courtney Kelly and Brian Trail, the presenting of monetary awards for MSD1 Teachers-of-the-Year and for employees with perfect attendance for first semester.
Board members will hear student transfer requests, a finance report for May 2009 by Linda Chan and an operations and facilities report by Al Blake; the superintendent’s report and go into an executive session to discuss personnel and a student disciplinary action review.
