»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Lake City couple were arrested after they were seen leaving a man’s house with several of his belongings, Lake City Police Chief Billy Brown said.

Tasha Denise Burgess of 320 Teal Ave. and Frank Thadeus Brayboy are each charged with first-degree burglary, Florence County Detention Center bookings reports show.

Police said it happened about 5 a.m. July 11 after the victim returned to his Moore Street home and went to bed. He was awakened later when he heard noises and then saw two people walking away from his house with two Sony Playstations, cell phones and other goods, Brown said.

Brayboy was booked at the jail in Effingham on Sunday, while Burgess was booked Wednesday. Both remain in custody awaiting bond hearings before a circuit court judge.
