Former Latta mayor to appear in federal court

Former Latta mayor Lenneau Berry is scheduled to appear in federal court on Thursday.

He pleaded guilty last may to misconduct in office, but got no prison time on state charges.

Instead, a judge sentenced Berry to 30 months probation, and ordered him to pay nearly 2,800 dollars.

On Thursday, he faces federal charges.
