Former Coastal football players Thigpen and Teal greet fans at mall

Former Coastal Carolina University football players Tyler Thigpen and Quinton Teal signed autographs for fans at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Coastal Grand Mall. They were on hand to promote the new line of officially licensed CCU merchandise.

Former Coastal Carolina University football players Tyler Thigpen and Quinton Teal signed autographs for fans at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Coastal Grand Mall.

They were on hand to promote the new line of officially licensed CCU merchandise.

Thigpen, who is now a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Teal, a defensive back for the Carolina Panthers, took photographs with fans and signed autographs for over two hours.

Chanticleers Head Coach David Bennett also greeted fans.

Thigpen says the new partnership between CCU and Dick's will give more exposure to the school.

"It's a really exciting feeling to know that we're getting a line out here at dick's sporting goods and it's nice to know that people are starting to recognize coastal. it's not just you know, a small college here in conway. it's a school that people around the world are starting to know about so it's really nice to be able to get our name out," Thigpen said.

Coastal's upcoming football season starts September 3rd at Kent State.
