NORTH MYRTLE BEACH - North Myrtle Beach firefighters spent part of Monday afternoon battling a fire at a beach house.
Public Information Officer Nicole Aiello said crews were called to the rental home at 5706 N. Ocean Blvd. at 4:15 p.m.
Aiello said NMB Fire Rescue had two engines on scene, along with one ladder truck, that was blocking a portion of Ocean Boulevard, but with the fire extinguished the crews were expected to leave soon.
The back porch of the house suffered an estimated $1,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation by NMB Fire Rescue Fire Prevention Division
