Dillon County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect in a shooting last month that sent one person to the hospital.
Lamar McClain, 20, was arrested late Monday night and is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill in connection with the shooting, Sgt. Cliff Arnette said.
On June 22, deputies responded to Sycamore Drive in Dillon, where they found a male juvenile victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and is still recovering from his injuries, Arnette said.
