COLUMBIA - Governor Mark Sanford will travel to the Upstate to hold a news conference today to discuss ongoing revisions to the federal REAL ID law, now renamed PASS ID.
Last year, Sanford locked horns with federal officials over the Real ID law, saying the changes were too costly. The Department of Homeland Security eventually granted the state an extension to comply with the law.
According to a news release from his office, the news conference will be held at 1:15 p.m. at the Department of Motor Vehicles building in Greer.
