MYRTLE BEACH - The Grand Strand Humane Society is holding a Cat Neuter-A-Thon on Friday, August 28, 2009. The Neuter-A-Thon is for male cats only and is open to the public.
According to a news release, the price for the Cat Neuter-A-Thon is $35.00 and this includes the neuter, feline FIV/Leukemia test and rabies shot. Additional booster shots can be given for an additional $10.00.
All cats must have an appointment set up prior to the Neuter-A-Thon. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Anyone interested in having their cat neutered must come into the Grand Strand Humane Society at least one week prior to the event to fill out the appropriate paperwork and pay the fee. All cats must be in their own carrier and only one cat per carrier, the releas said.
There are only 150 appointments available.
Paperwork to participate in the Neuter-A-Thon is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11 am-5 pm; Friday 11 am-6 pm and Saturday 11am-4 pm at the Grand Strand Humane Society, 3241 Mr. Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach. For more information please call 843-918-4910.
