Writer asks for prayers, financial support
Dear Editor,
During this past school year I attended Liberty University. It has been a wonderful year of learning and I have enjoyed my classes. God has opened the door for me to work with the youth this summer through a program called Christian Youth in Action with Child Evangelism Fellowship in Bucks County, Pa.
This summer I will work with CEF along with six other college students and 17 high school students. We will be taking the gospel to the children and teenagers at drug rehab centers, homeless shelters, orphanages, detention homes, special need schools, backyards, teen power camp, communities and day cares. I will be working as one of the team leaders and will be in charge of organizing the clubs, directing the clubs and then overseeing four to six high school students as we run these clubs and tell the kids and teens about God and how they can have the hope of salvation. Last year this group reached over 1,200 kids and teens and 97 of them accepted Christ as their savior. This year they hope to reach over 2,000.
I will also be a disciple and minister to the teens in the group and lead them through a study on prayer. The dates for CEF this summer are June 13 through Aug. 8. I am writing to you all to ask that you consider sponsoring me this summer with your prayers, and if possible, financial support. As a missionary working with CEF, I am required to raise my own support of $2,400 for materials included to conduct each club, using puppets, crafts, bibles, etc.
