MYRTLE BEACH - The South Carolina Firefighters Conference gets underway Thursday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
According to a news release, opening ceremonies are scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
The exhibit halls will be filled with fire apparatus and equipment from around the southeast.
In addition, the Automobile Extrication Competition and the Firefighter Combat Challenge will be held at Broadway at the Beach on Thursday and Friday.
The events feature teams of firefighters from departments across South Carolina.
