Five people have been arrested after Darlington County Drug Enforcement Unit members executed four search warrants during the past two days, according to a press release from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
The raids, which took place at three different sites, also resulted in the seizure of five guns, marijuana, prescription drugs and cash.
Arrested Monday were 23-year-old Deborah Ahsley Breedlove, of 410 Redwood St., Darlington, who is charged with possession of a scheduled II controlled substance, possession of a scheduled III controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana and unlawful neglect of a child who was in a house during one of the raids; 19-year-old Matthew Barrentine, of 1932 Indian Branch Road, Darlington, who is charged with distribution of a scheduled III controlled substance and being a felon in possession of a firearm; and 27-year-old Ted Shaw, of 3141 Willard Henry Road, Florence, who is charged with disorderly conduct, according to the release.
Arrested Tuesday were 32-year-old Hernando Mack of 820 Red Fox Circle, Apt. A, Hartsville, who is charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine and simple possession of marijuana; and 28-year-old Todd Blakney of 820 Red Fox Circle, Apt. C, Hartsville, who is charged with distribution of more than 28 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun, according to the release.
All five suspects remain in custody at the Darlington County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings.
The investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
