Authorities are investigating an early afternoon shooting in Williamsburg County.
Two men reported the back windshield of a two-door hatchback was shot out near Hemingway, but no one was injured.
Hemingway Police Chief H. Bryan Todd said the shooting occurred outside his department’s jurisdiction and he immediately notified the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Todd said the men told officers someone fired on their vehicle “somewhere in Williamsburg County.”
One of the men in the car complained to officers later of a sore right shoulder and was found to have a slightly low pulse. EMS personnel treated the man.
The shooting remains under investigation.
