Keeping safe this holiday weekend

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Remember to be extra careful this holiday weekend.

Both Horry County and North Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue and the State Forestry Commission will be monitoring the April wildfire zone this weekend.

Fireworks stands in Horry County say today is usually their busiest day of the year.

For the most part, you can only set off fireworks in unincorporated areas of Horry County.

However, Surfside Beach allows fireworks on the beach on the 4th.

While fireworks can be fun, Horry County Fire and Rescue's Todd Cartner points out the obvious, they can also be dangerous.
