I would like to thank all those who assisted with the “Paddle For Her” kayak and canoe benefit Saturday, June 20, at Cheraw State Park. The fundraising event was held to honor Adriane Poston and her family. Adriane, 32, is a Florence native who is currently fighting breast cancer for the third time in seven years. The paddling event was a great success and an uplifting experience to Adriane and her husband, Charlie.
I would especially like to thank Naturally Outdoors for their thoughtfulness and willingness to organize this tremendous event. Other major supporters were Zaxby’s, Chick-fil-A, Hot Wings, Etc., South Florence Baptist Church, and of course Cheraw State Park for their offering of the location. The entire list of supporters is too long for the space allowed here, but the gratefulness we hold in our hearts is abounding.
On behalf of the Postons, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to anyone who donated, volunteered, participated, or prayed for Adriane and the success of this event.
Anyone who missed this opportunity and would like more information on how they can help may contact me at the e-mail address below.
