One person died Tuesday night after a car crash in Georgetown County.
The S C Highway Patrol said the incident happened around 8:20 p.m. after the driver of a Cadillac turned onto Hwy 17 from Wachesaw Road, failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the Cadillac died.
The Georgetown County Coroner office identifies the victim as 39 year-old Brooke Hawkins of Murrells Inlet.
The case remains under investigation.
