North Myrtle Beach police investing single car deadly crash

North Myrtle Beach police are investigating a deadly single car crash.

The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of 15th Avenue South and US 17 in North Myrtle Beach.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge identified the driver as Ronald W. Gilland.

Edge said Gilland was heading home when the car ran off the road and struck a large sign, Edge said.

Edge also told News13 Gilland and his wife just moved to the area from Salisbury, Maryland.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Monday morning.
