Dillon County deputies seek South of the Border robber

Dillon County Deputies are searching for a man who they say robbed the motel at South of the Border Saturday night.
Investigators say it happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the motel, at the intersection of Highway 301 and Interstate 95 in Hamer.
Deputies say a man walked in armed with a gun, and demanded money from the motel clerk.
Authorities say the clerk complied, and the man got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
Anyone with additional information about the robbery is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 774-1432 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
