Man dies in Horry County wreck

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Horry County Deputy Coroner, Chris Burroughs, says a North Carolina man is dead after a single car accident Saturday night.

Burroughs identifies the man as 50-year-old Jeff Hansen from Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

He says he died after he was ejected from his car from blunt force trauma.

State troopers say it happened just before 8 p.m. on Legends Boulevard in Horry County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports Hansen was not wearing a seatbelt.

Troopers say Hansen was traveling west on Legends Boulevard and ran off the right side of the road. They then say Hansen tried to overcorrect himself, and the vehicle overturned, ejecting him from the vehicle.

Troopers say they are continuing to investigate.
