Darlington County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in connection with an early Friday morning home invasion after which two people were shot.
Both are expected to survive their injuries, Capt. Andy Locklair said.
It happened at a residence on Robinhood Road near Hartsville between 7 and 7:30 a.m., Locklair said. When deputies arrived, they found the victim who’d suffered a gunshot wound.
After a brief search of the area, deputies found two firearms in the woods near the victim’s house they believe were used in the shooting, Locklair said.
Deputies then were called to a local hospital where one of the two suspects believed to have been involved in the crime was being treated for a gunshot wound. The suspect, identified as Joshua Days of Hartsville, faces first-degree burglary, assault and battery with intent to kill and other charges, Locklair said.
The second suspect, identified as Antwain Carter of Hartsville, will face the same charges, Locklair said.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (843) 398-4501 or Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
