A Coward man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting at the Down Beat nightclub in Coward, Florence County Sheriff’s Lt. Brett Camp said.
Joseph Brown, 64, of 626 Edwards Lane is charged with assault with intent to kill, Camp said.
The incident happened Wednesday after an argument that began inside the club spilled into the parking lot.
The suspect pulled out a pistol and fired four to six shots at the victim, Camp said.
The victim ran from the suspect and wasn’t injured.
Brown was released Friday from the jail in Effingham after posting bond.
