Billy Hickman

Billy Hickman of Turbeville, 52, died Jan. 2, 2009.

A funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Born in Clarendon County, Mr. Hickman was a son of the Melvin Hickman and the late Annie Mae Dubose Hickman. He was owner and operator of Billy Hickman Sheetrock and attended New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Hickman, a special aunt, Edith Wilkes and a special grandmother, Classie Mae Cook.

Surviving besides his father of Alcolu; wife, Brenda Barfield Hickman of Turbeville, a daughter, Katie (Brad) Lewis of Olanta, three sons, Ray (Becky) Hickman, and Jason (Pam) Hickman, both of Turbeville, Reese (Rita) Hickman, of Olanta; five brothers, Jerry (Bonnie) Hickman and Jimmy (Sharon) Hickman both of Turbeville, Larry (Diane) Hickman of Effingham, Thad (Susie) Dubose and Michael (Theresa) Dubose, both of Lake City; five sisters, Debbie (Leon) Antwine and Sandy Spigner, both of Lake City, Patricia Cumbie of Kingstree, Terry (Mark) Rodgers of Conway and Betty Jo Lee of Turbeville; grandchildren, Billy Ray Hickman Jr., Cassandra Rebecca Hickman, Joshua Benjamin Hickman, Hannah Ashley Hickman, Christopher James Lewis, Ozzy DeLeon Rowell and Langston George Hickman; and a special uncle, Tom Wilkes.
