Timmonsville man dies after crashing into farm equipment

A wreck on State Route 403 in Florence County claimed the life of a 62 year-old man after his Monte Carlo collided with a combine on a trailer Tuesday afternoon.

A 62-year-old Timmonsville man was killed in a collision with farm equipment late Tuesday morning in Florence County.

Willie Ham was taken after the crash to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries, Florence County Coroner M.G. “Bubba” Matthews said.

The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. on S.C. 403 just outside Timmonsville, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said. It involved a car and trailer carrying a large piece of farm equipment.
