An Olanta man has died in a collision between a commercial vehicle and the mo-ped he was riding, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Earl Blaney Lee, 52, died Monday afternoon at the scene of the crash on S.C. 341, Florence County Coroner M.G. “Bubba” Matthews said.
The collision happened just before 2 p.m. about a half-mile north of Olanta.
The highway patrol said it would release no further details until its Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team completed its investigation of the crash.
