RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Gov.-elect Bev Perdue is preparing to announce several appointments to her cabinet.
Perdue will hold a news conference Friday afternoon with the appointees.
At least five members of departing Gov. Mike Easley's cabinet don't plan on working for Perdue, including the secretaries of administration, commerce, correction, juvenile justice and health and human services.
Perdue takes the oath of office Jan. 10.
