»  Comments | Post a Comment

A two-vehicle collision killed a 44-year-old Hamer man Thursday, Dillon County Coroner Dan Grimsley said.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on State Route 30, between Dillon and the North Carolina border, according to S.C. Highway Patrol reports. A 1996 GMC wrecker and a 1996 Ford minivan were traveling in opposite directions when they crossed paths and collided, killing the driver of the minivan, Jose Domingo Martinez, at the scene.

MAIT troopers are investigating the cause of the collision. MAIT is a multi-disciplinary accident investigation team that reviews vehicle crashes to reconstruct a scene.
