Prayer vigil scheduled for missing Olanta woman

LYNCHBURG - Family and friends of an Olanta woman, missing for nearly a month, will hold a prayer vigil Thursday night.

Clartha McLeod Epps, 74, was last seen Jan. 30 after a family acquaintance dropped her off at Hickory Grove Church on old Manning Road in Turbeville.

The acquaintance said they didn’t know she was missing and that she appeared to be in good health both physically and mentally.

The service will take place at Ashbury United Methodist Church, 355 Pudding Swamp Rd, in the Shiloh Community in Lynchburg.
