MYRTLE BEACH – With the continuing economic downturn and increasingly rising unemployment rates, individuals are in need and searching out employment services. More and more individuals need help searching for jobs, writing resumes and filing for unemployment.
The Surfside Goodwill location offers a JobLink Center that provides the Grand Strand community with employment services. The JobLink Center has computers available to be used for job searching, resume writing and other employment needs. Also, there is always a specialist on hand to assist with questions, provide tips, offer career coaching and even help individuals file for unemployment.
“With today’s economy, Goodwill’s JobLink Center is a great resource to the community,” said Rick Shelley, Director of Workforce Development in the Grand Strand. “It is Goodwill’s mission to help put people to work. Through the JobLink Center, we are able to provide free employment services to help individuals find a job and get back on their feet.”
The Center is open to everyone in the community for free. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located inside of the Surfside Goodwill location, 127 Loyola Drive.
