FLORENCE—Two teenagers were transported to local hospitals Tuesday after their vehicle was struck head-on by a truck traveling in the opposing lane, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bob Beres said.
The crash happened at about 5:40p.m. on Pamplico Highway near Willard Henry Road in Florence. That's when a Pamplico man traveling South in a 1993 GMC Jimmy truck crossed left of center and crashed head on into the 2006 Toyota SUV carrying the two teens, Beres said.
The 17-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Troopers are still investigating the crash and no charges have been filed.
