MYRTLE BEACH - The annual Grinding of the Greens program is now under way in Horry County, and officials with the Solid Waste Authority says there are a variety of options for people wanting to recycle their Christmas trees.
City residents of Myrtle Beach, Conway, Surfside, Loris and Aynor can leave their trees curbside for pick-up.
Myrtle Beach residents can also drop their trees off on Mr. Joe White Avenue behind Myrtle Waves water park.
North Myrtle Beach residents can leave their trees curbside beginning Saturday, January 2nd.
There are also several drop-off locations in North Myrtle Beach:
Cherry Grove public parking lot, 19th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard;
Crescent Beach soccer field at Outrigger and Possum Trot roads;
Ocean Drive public parking lot, between Hillside and Ocean Boulevard on Main Street;
Windy Hill public parking lot, on Seaview Street between 37th and 39th avenues South;
Residents of Horry County can drop their trees off at any of the county's 24 recycling centers.
