Polar Bear Plunge
Want to start the new year off with a splash? Join us New Year’s Day for our first ever Polar Bear Plunge! Meet us at the Darlington Family YMCA outdoor pool at 9 a.m. Jan. 1. All who dare will jump in the pool at 10 a.m. Afterwards, there will be breakfast and prizes. All plungers receive a t-shirt and bragging rights! Cost is $2 for members and $5 for all others. Sign up at any of the front desks in Hartsville, Chesterfield or Darlington YMCA.
Holiday Schedule
The Y will be closed Christmas Day. New Year’s Eve hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Y will be closed New Year’s Day.
Indoor Soccer
Come out and play Youth Indoor Soccer this winter with the Y. This program is open to ages 5-10 (as of Feb. 1). Registration ends Thursday. Practices begin Jan. 9 at the Y. Cost is $40 for members and $60 for others. Players must attend at least one evaluation session to be placed on a roster. Evaluations are 6 p.m. Jan. 6.
