DARLINGTON – Three people died when the car in which they were traveling crashed Saturday afternoon, according to a release from Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.
The head-on crash happened about 3 p.m. on Tomahawk Road near Lydia, Hardee said.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team is investigating, Hardee said.
SCHP L/Cpl. The Volvo was being driven by a 58-year-old Murrells Inlet woman.
Collins said the three people in the Chevrolet were killed and the Murrells Inlet woman, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville.
The victims in this accident are 28 year old Shelton Addison of Hartsville, 21 year old Jermaine Durant of Lamar, and 23 year old Rodriques Slater of Lamar.
