A piece of land in Williamsburg County is being prepared for a big search, in hopes of finding some clues to a four-year-old missing person case.
Crystal Soles, 28, has been reported missing since Jan. 24, 2005. Her mother told News13 at the time of her disappearance that Soles called her dad from the Shaw’s Corner Store in Andrews, saying she was on her way home.
But Soles never made it home that night.
Extensive searches were done to find any clues for Soles, but nothing substantial ever came up.
Most recently, investigators searched for Soles in October while looking for clues in the Brittanee Drexel case. Drexel, 18, went missing in April 2009 while vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
That search for both women took place in Georgetown County, but no leads were found in either case.
Monica Caison with the CUE Center for Missing Persons says law enforcement recently received a credible tip that led them to renewing a search for Soles.
Caison says a full search for Soles will probably not begin until January, once the flooded land in Williamsburg County can dry up enough for investigators to look for clues.
